RIP Gobby

Sad news Gobby the sheep didn’t  make it. She had been poorly for a while in her pregnancy. We fought to keep her going but I guess the heat just too much for her on top of illness in pregnancy. Sad as I hand raised her. As lead sheep she always came to welcome me with her baa. (Hence her name).she gave me excellent lambs and served me well.  Unfortunately this is a farming life and it happens. Official Fallen sheep guys (undertakers for sheep) collect as per defo rules. RIP Gobby rest in peace.

On a better note signs of ducklings hatching. My lovely new lambs are doing well. One sheep left to lamb. Let’s hope it Easter lambs!

Poorly Gobby

Still no lambs. Gobby been sick. Twin lamb disease not enough nutrients in grass. Bring on the lambs then they can all go new field to nutrients. 100mls of nutrient boost and Gobby back on form.

Very productive couple of weeks!
New field fence done, sowing all done, set up new chickens and ducks, fence mended in my field and hedge laying done by me. digging, watering, weeding done. Made my polytunnel doors. Tidied polytunnel. All on track. It’s been fun and relaxing in a very tranquil place.

Shame no lambs yet but that’s farming! They will arrive when they ready!
Now for operation finger nails and scrub up for day job tomorrow!
